Based on real "hand made" craftsmanship, Sanita got its start over 100 years ago in Europe, manufacturing top quality, supremely comfortable clogs. The roomy toe box, padded collar and rocker bottom allow for ease of movement when walking, reducing fatigue on the entire body. "These look like Dansko clogs, what's the difference?" For the first 17 years, all Dansko stapled clogs were manufactured by Sanita in Europe. The relationship between Dansko and Sanita ended in August 2007. Shortly thereafter, Sanita began distributing the same products directly in the United States under their own name. If you own a pair of Dansko clogs purchased before 2008, look at the bottom of the sole and you will see patent number 0060240 engraved in the sole.
